Money and fame are some things that we see as being directly related, and it’ll even conjure up some famous people.

George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie…the list goes on.

But there’s one person who is even more rich than the likes of Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts and you’ve probably never heard of her.

This is because the richest actor in the world has been inactive in the industry for many years, with only a few stints since she went quiet.

If you don’t already know who we’re talking about, it’s The Lost Boys actor Jami Gertz who boasts a crazy net worth of $3 billion in 2023.

You might ask yourself ‘who is she?’, but she’s been right under your nose for years.

One person online had to search her up as they couldn’t place her name or face: “I’m off to Google first cos this is giving I don’t know who this person is.”

Another wanted to know where she’s been since leaving the Hollywood sign behind her: “How come I hardly see Jami Gertz in movies? Did she make it from acting, or does she have other incomes?”

Yes!

Even though her credits include films like Twister (loved her in that), Seinfeld, Modern Family and This is Us, Gertz decided to expand her horizons since being in the limelight from 1981.

I mean, she did make a small stint in 2022 in I Want You Back, but she’s been mostly out of the public eye for years. Obviously, building her enormous wealth.

This is because she and her husband are part owners of NBA team, the Atlanta Hawks and minority owners of the Milwaukee Beavers.

Their investments have really paid off and to be honest, get your bag, girl!

However, the haters decided that Gertz married into money after marrying the billionaire investor, Tony Ressler.

But the pair aren’t all about making money. They’re actually quite charitable.

In 2012, the Giving Back Fund named Gertz and her husband as the number one donor to charity after a record $10 million donation to the Ressler-Gertz Foundation, which focuses on the arts, education, health and Jewish organizations.

So, even though the couple has created a great fund to fall back on and live life to the max, they’ve also earned it by donating so much money to great causes in the past and present.
