I Caught My Husband’s Mistress Acting Like My Son’s Mother On The Baby Monitor
I thought my marriage to Logan was incredibly strong until a short business trip revealed a devastating truth. While checking my baby monitor app from my hotel room, I saw an unfamiliar woman calmly tucking my one year old son Ben into his crib. She leaned over and kissed his forehead, acting as though she were his actual mother. I immediately called Logan, who casually answered from outside the house. When I angrily demanded to know who was in the nursery with our son, he went completely silent and abruptly hung up the phone. I frantically called my brother Aaron and begged him to check on my house.
Aaron quickly arrived at my home and witnessed Logan returning with groceries. He listened outside the door and heard them intensely arguing about the woman entering the nursery. When Logan asked why she kissed our son, the woman boldly declared that Ben would become her son as soon as Logan divorced me. I was absolutely crushed by the terrible realization that my husband had left our baby alone with his secret mistress. I immediately booked the earliest flight home and arrived early the next morning. Logan looked terrible and frantically tried to apologize, claiming he had planned to end the affair. I refused to listen to his pathetic excuses and filed for divorce that same week.
I demanded and received full custody of Ben because I could no longer trust Logan’s judgment regarding our child. Despite Logan crying in court and begging for his family back, I remained firm in my decision while still allowing him scheduled visitation rights. A few weeks after finalizing the divorce, I discovered his mistress, Claire, working as a boutique stylist on Instagram. I used my middle name to book a private styling appointment with her. When I arrived, she warmly greeted me and happily chatted while showing me different clothing options, completely unaware of my true identity.
After a few minutes of polite conversation, I calmly pulled out my phone and showed Claire the baby monitor screenshot of her leaning over my son’s crib. All the color instantly drained from her face as she stood in stunned silence. I calmly informed her that Ben and I were doing perfectly fine without them. Before leaving the boutique, I handed her a business card for a therapist specializing in delusional behavior. Logan still calls occasionally claiming he has changed, but I finally feel at peace living safely with just my son.
