I am Catherine, a thirty year old mother to seven year old Jonathan and five year old Lila. My thirty three year old ex husband Sean manipulated me into leaving my job during our nine year marriage. When he demanded I leave, I had no money and nowhere to go. I drove to the home of my sixty seven year old former father in law Peter. Kelly confirmed that Sean frequently bragged about his plan to overwhelm me until I disappeared from their lives.
Hearing this truth gave me the clarity I needed to start reclaiming my role as a mother. I immediately took over communicating with the school, organizing documents, and directly handling all the responsibilities Sean had taken away. When Sean attempted to casually change our custody schedule, I firmly stood my ground and forced him to back down.
