While his professional life flourished, his personal life was tumultuous. In 1992, Schroder was arrested for domestic violence against his then-girlfriend Andrea Bernard, whom he later married. The couple had four children together but eventually divorced in 2016.

According to sources, the divorce triggered a downward spiral for Schroder. He began partying excessively, damaging his relationships, and becoming estranged from his daughter Cambrie. In 2019, he was arrested again for domestic abuse against his girlfriend, although the case was later dismissed.

Since then, Schroder has largely retreated from the spotlight, spending most of his time on his farm. He maintains a connection with his fans through social media, where he shares updates about his life.
