11-year-old boy Jayden Perkins died trying to save his mother’s life.
His mother, who was eight months pregnant, was seriously injured and is currently recovering.
However, this case has revealed some of the injustices faced by victims of domestic violence.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a horrific scene played out in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood, which ended with the death of 11-year-old boy Jayden Perkins and severe injuries to his pregnant mother. Crosetti Brand, 37, was charged with this brutal act and faces, among other charges, first-degree murder and attempted murder.
