This Old-Fashioned Cafeteria Peanut Butter Candy is a nostalgic treat that’s easy to make and irresistibly delicious. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a sweet, peanut buttery candy that’s perfect for snacking or sharing.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Powdered Sugar 1 cup (plus more for coating)
Powdered Milk 1 3/4 cups
Honey 1 cup
Vanilla Extract 1 teaspoon
Creamy Peanut Butter 1 cup
Salt (optional) 1/4 teaspoon
Powdered Sugar (garnish) As needed

Instructions:

    1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup of powdered sugar, the powdered milk, and salt (if using). Set aside.
    2. Cream Honey and Peanut Butter: In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine the honey and creamy peanut butter. Cream together for 3-4 minutes, or until fluffy and smooth.
    1. Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the honey-peanut butter mixture, beating until a dough comes together.
  1. Knead Dough: Knead the dough with your hands until it is smooth and well combined.
  2. Shape Logs: Divide the dough in half. Roll each half into an even log.
  3. Chill: Wrap each log tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Slice and Coat: Once chilled, slice the logs into 1/4-inch thick slices. Coat each slice generously in powdered sugar.
  5. Serve: Enjoy your Old-Fashioned Cafeteria Peanut Butter Candy!
