Ingredient Quantity

Black pepper ½ tsp

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Chicken: Start by cutting each boneless chicken breast into three equal pieces.
  2. Marinate Chicken: Place the chicken pieces in a bowl. While the recipe mentions marinating overnight, this step seems to be a remnant from an older version of the recipe as no marinade is specified in the ingredients list. You can proceed directly to the next step, or if you prefer a deeper flavor, consider a simple salt, pepper, and garlic powder rub, or a light brine overnight.
  3. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Make Topping Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), half of the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is well combined and smooth.
  5. Assemble & Coat: Take a baking dish and arrange the chicken pieces evenly in a single layer. Spread the mayonnaise mixture generously over each chicken breast, making sure they are evenly coated.
  6. Add Final Cheese: Sprinkle the tops of the chicken breasts with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the topping is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Once cooked, remove from the oven and serve this delightful dish immediately to your eagerly awaiting guests or family members.

This Tender Chicken Delight pairs wonderfully with a side of roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh green salad. What’s your favorite simple chicken recipe for a busy weeknight?
